aspects of Verbier life), his successes at the Divisional championships, seeding 10th overall are of considerable note and leave Toby in an excellent position to lead the team over the 23/24 season.
Alongside the skiing, Exercise White Knight has a large focus on team bonding and community engagement, and this is often where the QDG truly shine. Each unit is responsible for hosting an event or social and all are encouraged to make the most of our location. We were once again praised for our organisation of the Christmas day party, which consisted of a drinks reception and freestyle compe- tition at the Snowpark. The event was attended not only by exercising troops but also by an array of guests, including multiple veterans who regaled in tales from their attendance of EX WK 5&6 in the 1980s and made comments on how the jumps were ‘far bigger’ in their day. Other notable events include a night with the retired HCav Officer/singer-song- writer, JB, James Blunt or indeed, the Jaeger Bomber.
The 22/23 season can be considered a success both on and off the slopes with
the QDGs reputation upheld.
