The other innovative event Laurie put in was the Round the Island Rally, with stops inYarmouth and Bembridge.The intention of course was to leave St Catherine’s Lighthouse to port. However, a very dubious weather forecast on Saturday afternoon resulted in the five boats choosing to leave Cowes to starboard instead. Following most welcoming drinks onboard Harmoney, we set off for Brading IslandYC for a very pleasant meal, with stunning views over Bembridge.

I have added Portland Marina and the Seaview YC as new destinations, as well as returning to Chichester after an absence from the program.
