Following a very quiet beginning for 2014. The branch had a party, but not just any party in fact it was our 60th birthday and celebrate it we did.
We held the party were it all began at the Queens Hotel in Chester. 50 members plus guests which included Col David Bates sat down to a delicious lunch of stuffed chicken breast followed by sticky toffee pudding. During the course of the afternoon we were entertained by Dave Chance who soon had us singing and laughing, he is a great entertainer. The afternoon ended with our raffle which has now become a challenge for Chris Bramley
to beat the previous record of how long it takes us to complete. A fantastic afternoon was had by all.
The year ended with our Christmas Lunch and again an excellent afternoon was had by all.
2015 is all about our 4th reunion which will be held in Shrewsbury on the 4th to 6th September 2015. The format will be the same as previous ones with the main event being on the Saturday evening. However on the Friday evening we have booked the Sabrina Boat which will include a sail down the River Severn and a meal on board.
