When selecting a feed for your chickens, rather than considering the cost and pretty packaging, it’s best to select the most suitable, high quality feed. Take a close look
at the feed label. All poultry feed labels
should detail the type of feed and bird for which it is intended. It should also give a breakdown of the key nutrients, a list
of ingredients, details of any additives, feeding instructions, quantity of feed
the bag contains and full traceability information. On closer inspection
of these details you may nd that your chickens’ feed contains added extras you wish to avoid, especially if you wish to feed your chickens and produce eggs as naturally as possible.
