South East
South East Report
The RHS Wisley Harvest Weekend on October 24th and 25th was a very successful occasion for the NAS South
East team. We recruited four new individual members, as well as distributing quite a number of application forms. The RHS departed from their normal autumn format of a ve day show to a couple of two day events, at the end of October. The South East committee have been forming a group of volunteers for assisting on our show stand and this weekend was the best yet thanks to fourteen members coming together at some time or another over the two days. Thank you to all who helped.
Although the ‘show team’ is coming together, the actual South East committee is starting to decrease; during the last
twelve months we have lost two members, leaving us with only six. As much as they are very dedicated and hardworking, there is only so much that they can do. As you all know from your site committees, it is dif cult to recruit committee members. No one lasts inde nitely and we are reaching a desperate situation. If you want the regional committee to survive and continue (this is where regional business is discussed and acted upon and where the region rep is programmed to raise issues with the committee at Head Of ce), then please get in touch with me so that we can convene an AGM and increase the committee and look to the future to nd a prospective region representative.
