RNLI Inshore Rescue with a Difference
Beaumaris lifeboat crew recently answered a call for help with a difference, when a giant pumpkin needed moving
at the Bulkeley Hotel in Beaumaris
in preparation for the 2015 BAAFTAs (Beaumaris Annual Awards for the Allotments). Chairman of the Beaumaris Allotment Society, Dave Jones, arranged for fellow members of the lifeboat crew to come to the rescue.
Dave Jones said, “Beaumaris Lifeboat are grateful to the local community for all their support throughout the year which enables us to do our vital work. We are always only too happy to help local organisations and we will come to the rescue wherever and whenever we are needed.”
Keevan Anker, who had grown the giant pumpkin, handed it over to the Bulkeley Hotel who organised a “Guess the Weight of the Giant Pumpkin” competition to raise funds for Beaumaris Lifeboat.
