2015 BAAFTAs in Beaumaris
The BAAFTAs (Beaumaris Annual Awards for the Allotments) were held at The Bulkeley Hotel in Beaumaris recently when the efforts of the hard-working allotment holders were rewarded.
Despite a somewhat dif cult year weather-wise, there was strong competition in the various categories, particularly for the Best Vegetable Allotment, and also for the coveted Bulkeley Hotel Trophy, which recognises the efforts of a person who has gone out of their way to help others on the allotment. Chairman, Dave Jones, said “The BAAFTAs are the highlight of our year.
It gives us a chance for everyone to get together and celebrate and acknowledge the successes on the allotments. We are also really grateful to the Bulkeley Hotel for their support throughout the year and for once again hosting the ‘Guess the Weight of the Giant Pumpkin’ competition in aid of the Beaumaris RNLI”. The various trophies were presented to those chosen as follows:
