Open spaces owned/maintained by others
Thrapston Sailing Lake
The sailing lake and its surroundings is owned and maintained by Middle Nene Sailing Club, who kindly allow access to walkers across their land. Please note that at the northern (top) end of the lake the path may be closed in times of extreme weather to preserve the paths and banks or for routine maintenance works.
Charles Street Play Area
There is a play area on Charles Street which is owned and maintained by Longhurst Group. The company also maintains some pathways and open areas around Longhurst properties (formerly Spire Homes).
Outdoor Areas
There are outdoor areas in some housing developments in town that are not maintained by the Town Council, including those on the new Sidings (Orbit Homes), Nurseries (David Wilson Homes) and Charter’s Gate (Barratt Homes) developments. Any issues with open spaces in these areas should be reported to the relevant developer.
