PCRF Pirbright and his next unit is gaining an exceptional RAPTCI. He has recently enrolled in a Leadership and Management degree, which demonstrates his commitment to continuous personal development.
On the permanent staff and Welsh Guards front, Sgt Dean continues to maintain exceptionally high standards in his clinical delivery, while assisting the Welsh Guards with their pre- deployment capability. His strong work ethic and wide base of knowledge allow him to deliver the best possible care. Sgt Dean has recently completed his BSc in Strength and Conditioning, with his dissertation topic being, “A service evaluation of functional outcomes in British Army recruits: Exploring current practices within exertional leg pain injuries.”
Sgt McWilliams is the newest member of military staff at PCRF Pirbright having completed the Exercise Rehabilitation Instructors course in December 2017. In his short time so far working at the PCRF he has been very impressed with the clinical knowledge of all staff, management of the recruits and the overall care provided to them.
 REGIONAL REHABILITATION UNIT COLCHESTER
Sgt (SI) S Caine RAPTC
RRU Colchester has upped its game in the last year, running Spines and Generals courses amounting to 24 for the year. The ERIs have had to adapt and overcome to a change
of OC whilst the usual OC was on maternity leave. This meant an increase in Continuous Professional Development (CPD), shortened assessments and Regional In-Service Training days, plus there’s always a meeting lurking around the corner. Students that visit here from JSSERI School can see what a busy place the unit is.
The increase in tempo hasn’t been a barrier to getting out of the office though. Sgt (SI) Baz Beattie RAPTC managed to get away for body building competitions, so much so that he won the Classic Body Building World Championships 2017 in Norway. Sgt Caine RAPTC arrived fresh from the JSSERI School, but it wasn’t long until he was away on paternity leave for his 3rd time around, clearly RRU Colchester is a fertile unit.
Sgt’s Beattie and Caine, amongst showing off who’s got the cutest baby girl to the other staff, have managed to get themselves away
