the individual headstone or memorial supplied through TWGPP. Website: http://twgpp.org/

The Pure Collector website provides an easily searchable list of CWGC cemeteries worldwide, with

direct links to the relevant CWGC website and casualty records of each one, including those in Cyprus.

The website of the Armed Forces Memorial has a Roll of Honour that can be searched for the full name,

service number and date of birth and death of all personnel who were killed on duty or by terrorist
activity after the Second World War, and is therefore pertinent for burials at Wayne’s Keep and Dhekelia

Military Cemetery. Website: http://afm.updated.dev.vccpdigital.net/roll-of-honour.asp

Roll of Honour This website, compiled by Martin Edwards, is dedicated to those men and women who

fell fighting for their country. It records various war memorials and rolls of honour within a variety of
counties in the United Kingdom as well as overseas. The Overseas section lists 40 of the military burials

(including a couple of dependants) at Polemidia Cemetery and shows images of their gravestones. High
resolution images of each of these gravestones can be downloaded directly from this site. There are no

lists (as at October 2013) for any other cemetery in Cyprus. Website: www.roll-of-honour.com/

Gravestone Photographic Resource – The Gravestone Photographic Resource project was set up in 1998
by Charles Sale to photographically record grave monuments and make the information they contain

publically available via the internet. Photographs are restricted to monuments that contain details of
people who were born before 1901. The Cyprus site (as at September 2013) has lists and photographs

of only two military cemeteries, namely the Limassol British Cemetery (Polemidia) and the Troodos

Military Cemetery. High resolution photos of individual headstones can be provided on request.

David Carter’s Britain’s Small Wars has a Roll of Honour of all the servicemen (by regiment or service)

who died or were killed on active service during the Cyprus Emergency 1955-1959 and are now buried
at Wayne’s Keep Cemetery (and commemorated on the British Cyprus Memorial in The Old British

Cemetery, Kyrenia). This site also lists the police and British civilians who were killed in the Cyprus
Emergency. A useful feature is that it also gives the cause of death, where known. Website: www.britains-

smallwars.com/cyprus

Jim Tipton’s Find a Grave has a link to several military and civilian cemeteries in Cyprus with the

inscriptions of selected graves therein. Website: www.findagrave.com

The Canadian Virtual War Memorial commemorates all Canadian service personnel who died in the
service of freedom, and details of the individual Canadians buried in Dhekelia Military Cemetery can be

found on this site. Website: http://www.veterans.gc.ca/eng/collections/virtualmem

TheGenealogist. This is a subscription-only leading genealogy company which in August 2013 acquired
the website of Last Resting Place (LRP) from David Hamilton, an enthusiastic genealogist, archivist,

researcher and local historian. The Overseas - Cyprus section of LRP had covered six British cemeteries
in Cyprus, namely Dhekelia, Famagusta, Kyrenia, Limassol (Polemidia), Troodos and Wayne’s Keep, and

provided a downloadable index of the burials in each of these cemeteries, as well as high resolution

photographs of the headstones. TheGenealogist now provides this service to its subscribers. Website:
