 St. Nicholas Church, Islip
We hope that people were able to have some kind of a Christmas celebration and could enjoy some of the lovely things we associate with the season.
Unlike previous years we won’t have been able to have all our usual services but with luck you managed to enjoy one (or more!)
of the online offerings and perhaps even an actual physical service at some point.
What will happen in this New Year is still
a mystery but we hope we will be able to follow the pattern of live services around
the benefice and the very successful and popular online services. We extend a warm welcome to all to any of our services as and when they happen! If you would like to come to a church service but don’t want to come on your own or find getting there difficult feel free to contact one of us and we’ll do our best to help.
2020 has been an ‘interesting’ year with many negatives but a number of positives too as we looked at the kindness shown by so many towards others, the chance perhaps to rethink our lives as we were

As we move into 2021 the optimism surrounding various vaccines is very exciting and potentially a great answer to prayer, but with many restrictions set to continue for the months to come, this is still a tough winter.
So with that in mind we are planning to continue Sunday morning services in our churches as restrictions allow. It has been wonderful to see familiar faces in church on Sunday mornings albeit that they are smiling behind face masks. We are maintaining social distance but it is still good to be together and to celebrate Holy Communion.
To ensure social distancing is maintained and so that we can prepare the buildings appropriately, anyone wanting to attend the services must book in advance. You can do so via a simple booking form on our website. Please note anyone attending will also be required to wear a face mask unless they are exempt from doing so.
Please always check the website for up to date information regarding services in church as regulations can change very quickly and with short notice. https://www.tdichurches. co.uk
At the time of writing (4.12.20) we are hoping to have services in January:
  Sun 3rd Sun 10th Sun 17th Sun 24th Sun 31st
Communion Service at 10.00am No service (Denford at 10.00am) No service (Islip at 10.00am) Communion Service at 10.00am No service (Islip at 10.00am)
We are still planning to continue the online services which are available on our website on Sunday mornings but you can watch them at any time and send the link on to friends. https://www.tdichurches.co.uk
