AMS Women’s Rugby Union
Sgt R Bell
The Army Medical Services Rugby Football Club (AMS RFC) are constantly looking for players to join their rugby teams - there are currently 2 Rugby Union teams (women and men) and only one (men’s) Rugby League team, but there
are plans to add a women’s team too - so there are opportunities for everyone. We are a Club of work colleagues, friends
and teammates, from all ranks, ages and backgrounds, who enjoy getting out in the fresh air to run around a rugby pitch in all weather. We have a lot of fun as well. It is part of the great nature of rugby, all the players have a strong bond and understanding that if you do get shoved and pulled around, this is all in the name of the game. I had to learn this very quickly, but now I find myself doing it to others, however, it’s never done maliciously, it’s always done with love.
Each training session is different, the team has a variety of players in training, some with
