‘Out of the frying pan and into the
fire’
In March 2020 I completed 26yrs service within the
Army. Of that, 13yrs within the RAPTC. I was fortunate
to have been approached by ServiceSport to come on board as their MOD Relations Manager. This was a great surprise and a greater opportunity not to be missed so I accepted. It gives me the freedom to explore life outside of the Army but importantly, keeping me close to the friends I made within the Army and particularly the RAPTC. So, who are ServiceSport?
In short, Founded in 1999, ServiceSport are Europe’s leading independent service provider. Our mission is to supply gym parts and equipment to the MOD and civilian fitness industry, providing independent technical support with an impartial view to maintaining both resistance and cardiovascular equipment.
We offer:
• Refresh – Our refresh package offers an affordable alternative to buying brand new PTE where your existing PTE is removed, fully remanufactured or upholstered (branding and colours of your choice) before being relocated and fully installed on site.
• Servicing & Repair – We service and repair most leading brands of indoor gym equipment, offering a range of service levels to suit your specific needs. Our engineers cover the whole of the UK.
• Overseas Work – ServiceSport is already experienced in supporting MOD sites worldwide inclusive of Operational Theatres. Our CONDO trained engineers are security cleared and always ready
to deploy to conduct servicing and maintenance. With military experience within our team, this is what we do best.
• Upholstery – Our very own upholstery teams can provide the best quality of work and quick turnaround times across the UK. Where possible we can prepare identical pads off site for minimal machine down time on site. We will also colour match from 50+ colours.
