Another busy year for 7 Para RHA, the regiment remains embedded within the Air Manoeuvre Battle Group (AMBG) providing rapid strike assets as and when required on contingency operations and training missions. This has required continuous, periodic physical training of the sub-units to be relevant, challenging and above all it has had to be current and adaptable. Whilst sustaining the commitment to Op TORAL the regiment have also been deployed on various exercises in the UK and overseas including Kenya, America and Croatia.
Both Officers and Soldiers are continuing to complete the All Arms Pre-Parachute Selection Course (AAPPS). 4 courses are conducted throughout the year. The course continues to evolve

with a familiarisation week now incorporated into the 3-week programme. This allows the students a week to adapt to the demanding terrain of the Crowborough training area prior to attempting the screening day on the 2nd week of the course.
The Operational commitments and pace of life has still not deterred the Regiment to commit to various AT and Sporting activities throughout the year. Most of the Regiment took part in this year’s Nordic Ski Expedition to France. 7 Para RHA are performing incredibly well in various sporting activities most notably the Cross-Country Team recently being crowned as the Royal Artillery Cross Country Champs and winners of the UK Midlands Cross Country League.
