multiple Business Case’s. Their whinging, sorry I meant to say “hard work”, has seen vast improvements in the facilities and equipment. Allowing them to conduct the APTS S&C movements to their Unit. From a rehab perspective, the infra improvements have meant that PCRF Kinloss can also utilise these facilities and introduce the movement principles much earlier to the rehab patients on their class therapy sessions.
Over the next 12 months, I will be looking to increase the equipment the PCRF holds so the RTSA at RRU Edinburgh can look forward to an nflux of Business Cases and phone calls from myself.
From a personal side, those who know me, know I love the gym but with my faithful companion, Fudge (crazy spaniel) by my side, we have been exploring what the North of Scotland has to offer outside of the gymnasium. For someone who was born in Scotland, all I can say is I never realised until now what a beautiful country it is. We have explored Lochs, mountains and beaches.
All of this on our doorstep, quite literally. In doing so, we have also taken in the variety of wildlife up here in their natural habitat. We have seen dolphins, seal colonies and basking sharks from the back gates of the camp.
Although you are slightly isolated, the Unit does a great job of providing for its personnel and attached arms. The AT Store is bursting at the seams with equipment available for use. From Ski’s (Aviemore 40 min drive) to even VW Camper vans! The opportunity is there to make the most of it.
As a posting, I shouldn’t really be singing it’s praises so highly as I would love to extend for another year to get in the North 500 (hint, hint Jane). I can’t speak highly enough of both the PCRF role, 39 Engineers and Ricky Lennan with his merry band of PTI’s. Although challenging, it is unique and not an opportunity be missed if offered as a post.
