BUDDIES
Oundle Town Rowing Club
Oundle Town Rowing Club (OTRC) sits on the beautiful River Nene, between Barnwell and Lilford locks, with access from the Barnwell Road. The club was established in 2000, has developed and grown over the years, won
the CCPR’s Sports Club of the Year (SCOTY) Award in 2010, and is a welcoming, friendly club with a competitive streak.
OTRC rowers have competed in events such as the Boston Marathon, Tideway races on the Thames, National Masters Championships, and the Junior Ball Cup at Eton Dorney, as well as more local competitions – with a range of successes along the way. They have also taken
part in more recreational events such as the Great Ouse Row (91km over 3 days, from St Neots to Denver).
The club’s ethos is one of community and inclusivity so whether...
• You’re old or young
• Returning to rowing after a break
• Want the challenge of learning a new,
technical skill
• Desire the competitive element of head races
and regattas
• Or want a more social, recreational pastime
in a beautiful outdoor environment ...this is the club for you.
