Rowing is an all-body, aerobic, but low- impact workout for people of all ages and abilities. It is accessible to people at all levels of fitness, but one guarantee is that rowing improves your health and fitness. Adaptive rowers with special needs are welcomed. The club’s approach is ‘Anyone who wants to row: we’ll find them a boat.’
The club owns a variety of recreational and racing boats, from single seats (called Sculls) to an Eight and can cater for all sizes of crews. The club rows all the year round although flooding, ice, lightning, and high winds have been known to stop play! Then, indoor rowing sessions are organised to maintain fitness.
The club always welcomes new rowers aged 12 to 120. Why not give it a try? Taster sessions last for 2 hours and are FREE, but booking
is essential. Learn-to-Row courses take place under the guidance of a Club Coach, run for six sessions and are chargeable.
Free bookable OTRC Taster Session: Saturday 13th April from 12 noon to 2pm.
Contact Becky on beckysmithmail@gmail. com or 07590 370638 to book a place or to ask questions. Come and see why OTRC members love rowing! www.oundletownrowing.co.uk
