Getting out and about...
ISLIP LUNCH CLUB
We now have our second lunch under our belt, and what a success it was!
Our next lunch dates are:
31st March, 28th April and 2nd June
Lunches run from 11am to 1.15pm. Come and socialise with friends old and new over a cup of tea or coffee. Do some word puzzles, a quiz or a crossword, and follow that up with a two course lunch with tea or coffee to follow. Do come and join us. Booking is essential – please call Penny on 01832 730057 to book your place. We look forward to hearing from you.
ROTARY SHOEBOX APPEAL
We will be holding a Shoebox Workshop morning in St James Hall on July 29th 10-12pm.
All donations of coloured pencils, rubbers, sharpeners, pens, gratefully received. We will make up stationary packs. We will also be making other bits up – come along (bring the kids) it is a wonderful experience. We sent 550 boxes in October and we have another 100 to send, due to sponsors at Christmas Lights.
Our Shoebox Launch Day will be in the Plaza on Saturday October 7th, 10am-2pm.

Thrapston Cricket Club is looking for new players, umpires and scorers, for the new season starting April 2023.
Men, women, boys and girls – all welcome. Come and join our success story!
We have lots of teams of all abilities, playing league and friendly cricket. Ranging from Under 7s to adults.

THRAPSTON WI
Following our Annual Meeting on March 2nd, we now have a new President – Zena Gregory. We wish her every success in this role and we are confident that our group will go from strength to strength.
We meet on the first Thursday of the month at 7.30pm, in the Baptist Church. Do come along and find out what we have planned for the next 12 months – speakers, trips, food, fun and friendship. The meeting is free to members (and this is a reminder that membership will soon be due), £5 for visitors. Refreshments are provided. New members and visitors always welcome.
