Getting out and about...
THRAPSTON COUNTRY DANCERS
We have nothing special planned over Easter, but when we meet during April we will include some interesting dances such as Easter Thursday (quite old) and a few more modern dances such as Daffodils, etc.
On Wednesday 1st March we had a three piece band for the very first time. We must encourage live music as one of our traditions going back a very long time. It is hoped
to repeat later in the year. New members
are always welcome. We meet at St James Church Hall on the first and third Wednesday 2.00-3.30pm. Our numbers have increasd recently, which is very encouraging and enables the group to enjoy a greater selection of dances. Everyone is made welcome and first visit is free.
We are a very sociable and friendly group. Beginners are vey welcome. A partner is not required and all dances are walked through. If
a dance goes wrong, as sometimes happens, we all have a good laugh. The main thing is that everyone can have an enjoyable time. If anyone requires further information, please ring George on 01933 622827.

The next Garage Sale is Saturday May 20th 10am-3pm The Second Sale is
Sunday September 17th 10am-3pm
Registration is £5, all money goes to charity. Forms available from Town Council.
THRAPSTON LADIES CLUB
HAS MOVED
Thrapston Ladies Club was formed over 76 years ago and was previously known as Thrapston Ladies Fellowship Club.
The club meets on the first Tuesday of every month (excluding August) at 7.30pm in Thrapston Baptist Church – please note new venue.
We are a non religious group who come together to listen to a variety of speakers throughout the year and we also arrange club birthday meal, a summer outing and a Christmas meal. We are a relaxed, friendly group of ladies and have at present around 40 members. Our annual subscription is £25 which includes our monthly fee for a raffle prize.
