                                 QUESTION & ANSWER
Any famous people visited? Yes, but we have to be discreet!
What’s your favourite item on sale at the moment? Our new ladies range, especially the casual trainer style look from Geox which are proving to be incredibly popular.
How has the High Street changed since you became part of it? I think Thrapston High Street is fabulous now, it’s just gone from strength to strength. We have so many lovely independent shops like Hilly Horton Home, Auburn Fox and Jollys to name but a few, as well as Bennetts for your coffee fix! It really does seem to be thriving which is fabulous considering the year everyone has had.
What did you do during lockdown?
Completely redecorated the shop and lots of walking.
What makes you laugh? People tripping up. (is that really mean?)
Hobnob or Jaffa Cake? Hobnob for Jo, Jaffa Cake for Claire.
Dine at home or meal out? After the year we’ve had and the amount of home cooking we’ve done, it’s definitely a meal out.
...and a tipple to go with it? Fizz for Claire and Gin for Jo.
You have a free plane ticket – where do you go? India to watch the cricket.
If you couldn’t sell shoes what would you do? Watch cricket!
Who’s at home? My husband Alan, aka my shop decorator, and children; Will aged 19 and Liv aged 18 (who also works in the shop part time whilst studying for her A levels).
What’s the best thing about Thrapston?
Without doubt the real sense of community. It’s a great place to live and work and raise a family and we love it here.
