WHAT’S ON
Getting out and about...
We returned to Scouting in September after our summer break and already we have had a busy time.
In October we joined with Thrapston Council to help with the litter pick around the town.
The Beavers and Cubs did a good job ensuring that every piece of litter was picked up. We went round the peace park and then up to the church.
Later in October we had a Halloween Party with games and apple bobbing. We even wrapped up parents as mummies. There was food and drink and the young people came in fancy dress.
On November 1st we had our investment night and welcomed 10 new Beavers, 7 new Cubs & 3 Scouts into the group.
On November 12th we joined the annual
Remembrance Day parade. You may have seen us parading with our flags to the church.
I am pleased to announce that we have now re-opened our Scout section to young people between the ages of 10 to 14 years. We still need volunteers to help run this section. We currently have 3 scouts. Any young people that wish to come along then please get in touch.
We are a growing group that relies on volunteers to help run the sections and we are looking for adults to help in the Beaver, Cub and Scout sections. We also need volunteers to go onto our Trustee board. We have roles to fit every lifestyle and skillset with all the relevant training provided.
