ROTARY CLUB
Community Work
A date for your Diary! We will be holding
our annual Carol Service at St James Church Thrapston on Wednesday 20th December
at 7pm. The service will be followed by refreshments, and you are all invited to attend.
We usually meet at the Bell, Little Addington. Before they left the Bell, President Mike Turner made a presentation on behalf of the club to
the team who had made us so welcome and provided such enjoyable meals. We wish them all the best for their future.
Members have for many years presented hyacinth bulbs to people in the local area, and some members met in late October to plant the bulbs ready for the new year. (Photo above)
Club members were pleased to respond to a last minute call for help with an extra session
at Grafham Water Sailability. We are very glad to be able to help and it is always good to see people with additional needs enjoying themselves on the water.
Would you know what to do in a medical emergency? We were fortunate to have an excellent workshop run by East Northants First Responders which covered all things about CPR and Defibrillators. The First Responders are all volunteers who live in the local area and are trained by East Midlands Ambulance Service. The First Responders are offering workshops
in 2024. More details of their work and information can be found on their Facebook page.
We wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a good New Year.
