challenges of the rising cost of living this year. 45 young carers and their families attended from Eastleigh, the New Forest, Romsey and Andover. Thankfully the rain held off until after lunch and we were able to present a few prizes for the races and treasure hunt.
Fund raising will always be a high priority for a small charity, run solely by Trust volunteers, so this year we are launching
our first Black Tie Charity Dinner and Live Auction, which will be held at Careys Manor Hotel, Brockenhurst on Friday 1st November.
We hope you will join us. Funds raised at this event will go towards our 2025 programme for young carers.
To complete the year we organize an Annual Prize Giving event, which takes place on SS Shieldhall on Saturday 9th November, with
a Shield, Trophy, Medals and Certificates presented by our patron, the Rt Hon Nigel Atkinson, Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire. Young carers and their families have the opportunity to enjoy SS Shieldhall’s hospitality and refreshments and look around the Ship.
If you would like to support the Trust as
a volunteer at one of our Gins activity days please contact one of the trustees: Martin Phipps (Chair); Allan Beswick; Angela Parry, Tina Daniel and Jan Trimble. Our pages on Local Giving and Just Giving remain live for donations throughout.
