     and concluded with swimming in The Solent – in spite of leaden grey skies! The youngsters weren’t going to be put off!
Our General Manager, Stuart Earp, has managed the operations and the insurance claim and has been effective in both of these duties – I would like to extend my personal thanks to Stuart for all his hard work.
Inevitably, the flood damage and constraints on our facilities had an impact on some activities, particularly early in the season. Once operations were re-established, the Clubhouse has been busy with rallies and other group events.
THE BROW
The double whammy of the season came in May, when the scheduled repair works to the Brow became considerably more extensive (and expensive) than originally anticipated. Once the contractors started work, it became apparent that the underlying steelwork was badly corroded, and expensive repairs were required.
