As is usually the case, there were quite a number of promotions at this year's Senior Annual Camp! Attached is a selection of these.
Selby volunteer in super fundraiser for ABF!
SI Gary White is a busy paramedic and family man when he's not devoting his time to B Company's Selby Detachment, but he still finds time to stay fit.
This year, he decided to challenge himself by taking part in the Great North Run, the world's biggest half-marathon, and to raise money for a very
worthy military charity at the same
time - the Army Benevolent Fund.
On Sunday 10 Sep 23, he set off
with thousands of other runners,
and completed the course in
under 2.5 hours! This time, in
unseasonally warm conditions, is
even more impressive when you
learn that he sustained an injury
after the first mile but kept going
anyway.
SI White initially set himself the fundraising goal of £300 for the ABF, but his efforts have now raised a massive £460, and the money is still coming in.

B Company says goodbye to dedicated cadet
On 29th August 2023, B Company said goodbye to Cadet Colour Sergeant Natasha Chamberlain.
After joining Castleford Detachment almost five years ago she was quickly recognised as a cadet with great potential, despite her quiet, unassuming character.
She has made the most of her cadet experience over the years - reaching the auspicious rank of Cadet Colour
Sergeant, being appointed as the West Yorkshire Lord-Lieutenant's Cadet (Army) for two years in a row, and taking part in a wide range of activities such as parachuting in Netheravon earlier this year.
She is leaving Yorkshire (N&W) ACF in order to attend university in Edinburgh to study neuroscience.
Natasha is pictured with the Lord-Lieutenant on duty.
