Malvern Spring Show
As this issue of SV went to press, the Midlands Branch is showing at Malvern Spring Show. The Bucks DA; namely John Bramham FNVS, has done a great job in getting ready 20 plants, for the Our Show team, to choose from along with others from across the Midlands.
The Tuesday before the show, John and Neil loaded the van with the care and finess not normal seen in two 6 foot plus chaps. Their pride was evident from the broad smiles. Before the journey began at

a moderate pace, each plant was arranged and packed preciously. There would be no sharp turns or harsh breaking on this journey.
At the Midlands AGM, John Branham gave a talk on how he prepares the plants for the show. It all starts in December and January with leeks, onions, tomatoes and cucumbers. We are hoping to spread the load and have some other members of the DA taking on the growing for Malvern.
If you don’t already know the Midland Branch won a Silver Gilt, which resulted in
another £300 for branch funds. It is also a challenge for next year to get the GOLD we covert so much.
Talks and Garden Visits
We have two garden visits this Summer and a full talk season planned from the Autumn. Though all details are online, if you would like to be on the Bucks DA email list, please let us know and we will happily add you. To arrange this, please contact Bob Bleasdale; our Membership Secretary at bobbleasdale@quainton.info
