Safety Memo #11(A) – Safe Driving
Date: August 5, 2022
To: All ACI Employees
<< Safe Driving >>
In 2019, there were 6.7 million police‐reported motor vehicle crashes of which almost 30% involved injury, those
numbers have only increased since. ACI would like to remind you to keep vigilant on the road and practice safe driving
even on your daily commute.
Here are some basic tips for safe driving:
• Always wear your seat belt.
• Do not drive if you are tired.
• Never drive under the influence.
• Keep your vehicle maintenance up‐to‐date.
• Drive defensively and be aware of the drivers around you.
• Do not text while driving.
Please also take a moment to review the attached presentations on Distracted Driving and Avoiding Rear‐end
Collisions. Both presentations are short overviews on safe driving topics, such as how distracting and dangerous using
your phone while driving can be.
We hope this was a good reminder to be mindful and aware when you are on the road.
Getting distracted while driving can be dangerous so let us concentrate on just driving safely.
Stay safe and stay healthy!
