• Protect them from injury
• Guide them away from danger such as
roads or open water
• Stay with them until recovery is complete
• Be calm and reassuring
• Explain anything that they have missed
Dial 999 or 112
If You know it’s their first seizure
or Seizure lasts for longer than 5 minutes or They are injured during the seizure
or They need urgent medical attention
Do not:
• Restrain them
• Act in a way that could frighten them
• Assume they are aware of what is happening, or what has happened
• Give them anything to eat or drink
• Attempt to bring them round
