COMPLICATED FRACTURE
Signs and Symptoms
• Pain
• Deformity
• Internal and external bleeding • Shock
Treatment
• Call for an ambulance immediately
• Apply the same treatment as mentioned before for an
open or closed fracture
• Be aware of a possible secondary injury which may not be visible. An example of this could be a fractured rib which may have affected an internal organ
• Monitor them very closely and be prepared to resuscitate them
