When to seek medical advice
If someone has been stung by a jellyfish, seek immediate medical assistance by dialing 999 if they:
• Are having problems breathing, or swallowing
• Have chest pain
• Have severe pain at the site of the sting
• Are very young or elderly
• Have been stung on a large area of the body or the face or the genitals
• There is severe pain, itchiness or inflammation (swelling) around the sting
