            II.    Equipments required


               1.  Summary

          Personal protective equipment as recommended by the cleaning agent supplier
          Cleaning bath or vessel large enough to allow complete immersion of the instruments
          Non-shedding wipe
                     1
          Tap water
          Freshly prepared purified water/ highly purified water
          Freshly prepared cleaning solution using a cleaning agent: proteolytic enzyme or aldehyde-free pre-disinfectant
            solution (i.e. : STERIS® PROLYSTICA)
          Syringe
          Soft bristle brushes and bottle brushes for cannulations lumens and other blind areas (ensure that the brushes
            has the appropriate shape and size) - Never use metal brushes or steel wool
          Absorbent paper
          Washer-disinfector with approved efficiency (e.g. CE mark or FDA approval according to ISO 15883), properly
            installed, qualified and regularly subjected to maintenance and testing
          Steam autoclave
          Lubricant (i.e. : Neodisher® IP Spray from Dr. Weigert laboratories)

        Note  : Avoid use of hard water. Use water whose temperature is 22°C to 43°C (73°F to 110°F). Hot water would
        cause the binding of proteins and other residues that could affect the efficacy of the cleaning process.
