The Battle of the Cricket Bats
Are you a Cricket fanatic? Perhaps you are wondering what the best bat for you is? Well this article will help you decide the better bat. Choose either the Gray Nicolls Omega or the Kookaburra Kahuna based off the five main categories: the appearance, the weights, the price, the willow and the pros that use it.
The Gray Nicolls Omega is pricier than the Kookaburra Kahuna. Overall there aren't many differences other than the price range the Omega is $250 and the Kahuna is $180.
Now let's talk about the weights of both bats the omega is the slightly heavier bat bat with the bigger middle which will hit the ball harder than the Kahuna. Kookaburra Kahuna is a lightweight bat which helps you make risky and exciting shots because you can swing the bat with ease and hit all over the ground.
Finally the appearances of the bats. The Kahuna has lime green stripe going around the Kookaburra logo under the handle of the bat the Kahuna has a ripple like grip coloured black, white and leaf green. The omega has what's called a matrix grip which has fully dark ocean blue covering the dimpled grip.
Last but not least pros that use the bats. Now this is very important for young kids wanting to use the same bat as their idols but this doesn´t matter to much but makes a big difference on people's choice. Kane Williamson and Alastair Cook are the biggest names that use the Omega and on the other hand Martin Guptill, Peter Handscomb, Brad Haddin and Colin De Grandhomme use the Kookaburra Kahuna. In conclusion the Kookaburra Kahuna is a better choice for the price it is because it is a lightweight bat used by many international players. The omega is a bat for big hitting players like Marcus Stoinis overall the Kahuna is a better choice because it is a lighter bat and is cheaper than the Omega.
The Omega is made of grade 1 english willow which is better than the Kahuna so the Omega will hit the ball further than the Kookaburra. The Kahuna is a bat made for risky batsman like Martin Guptill and AB Devilliers. On the other hand, the Omega is for traditional old fashioned batsmen who don't play too many risky shots. If you want a traditional shaped bat then go for the Omega, but if you want a bat that has no limits on the shots you play then chose the Kahuna.
