Departure Arrival Transfer Early
The baggage handling process differs for departure,
arrival and transfer. For departure, the baggage is weighed and tagged during check-in and then transferred to a sorting area so that they can be loaded into trolleys or containers. Afterwards, these bags will be loaded into the aircraft.
For arrival, the bags are unloaded from the aircraft into trolleys, trailers or dollies. They are towed to the baggage reclaim area, where they are offloaded onto the belts. The passengers may pick their bags up from these belts.
