The second component is airports. Airports are an essential component of The Aviation System. They are infrastructures that provide a physical linkage for the processing of passengers, cargo and aircrafts. Airports enable passengers and cargo to transfer from various modes of transport such
as land and sea to air and aircraft operations such and take offs and landings to transpire. We will be learning more about airports later in Chapter 3: Airport Operations and Management and Chapter 4: Airfield Systems.
      There are 2 commercial airports in Singapore, Changi Airport and Seletar Airport. Changi Airport is the main international hub that serves Singapore. Seletar Airport operates as a general aviation airport that mainly serves chartered flights, private aircrafts and flight trainings.
