STARTING AN AIRLINE
Before an airline can start, it has
to go through a certification process and meet all of the necessary requirements to obtain a ‘license’ known as the
Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC)
which allows the airline permission to start its operations and carry passengers and cargo around the world.
The certificate is granted to an airline by its country’s very own Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
TYPES OF AIRLINES
There are a few different types of airline services provided to passengers. So what are they? Let’s find out!
Airlines can be classified into 2 categories. Airlines that provide scheduled service and non-scheduled service.
  Scheduled
Full Service Carrier Low-cost Carrier Regional Airlines
Non-Scheduled
Charter Airlines General Aviation
The main difference between the two is that Scheduled Service operates flights based on a published schedule while Non- Scheduled Services operate flights on an on-demand basis.
