There are many ways an airline can advertise its products such as through travel agents or even online platforms such as on television and social media.
They can also attract customers by introducing promotions
such as discounted fares, programmes such as the frequent
flyer program where passengers can collect miles based on the distance flown and the miles can then be exchanged for rewards, or even advertising a unique product that makes it stand out from other airlines like for example, Emirates
was the first to introduce showers on its aircraft which allows passengers in the first class to bathe in the air during the flight!
This stage is also known as Airline Marketing.
