We oppose:
any Legislation regulating state agencies from using that regulates the use of neonicotinoids, organophosphates, pyrethroids, methocarbamates, and/or organochlorines by state agencies, without the use of proper unless research or conclusive scientific evidence prove that these compounds pose adverse effects on the environment when used according to label.
Legislating science from the bench of a court/jury without sound scientific proof, well-documented scientific studies from respected scientists, scholars, government bodies and universities in regard to the safe use of necessary tools such as chlorpyrifos and glyphosate without extensive research and study.

Increased development of new uses of wool and new consumer convenient lamb products. Inclusion of lamb prices in Farm Bureau market reports such as Michigan Farm News and radio broadcasts.
Research into lethal and non-lethal methods of predator control as they can be applied in Michigan. such as adoption of a "toxic collar" program. [Relocated in policy]All owners of sheep participate in the National Scrapie Eradication Program.
Funding for an indemnification program for losses from a wolfves, coyotes and cougars. indemnification program by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. Adoption of a "toxic collar" program for use in controlling predator damage.
