Originally created by118 artists from 21 countries, the gallery opened in
several times until the 15th century and then redesigned as a castle by
September 1990. it's the world's longest open-air gallery, 1316 meters long.

This was my favorite castle we visited with layered security including a
drawbridge with a gatehouse, enclosed walkway along the wall , and
additional fortifications between the courtyard and castle center.

presumably in the mid-10th century as part of the castle complex in the
March of Meissen. During the Thirty Year?s War the castle complex
was bombarded, besieged and freed again, several times over. 55
