STATEMENT OF PERSONAL LEARNING GOALS.
Writing II is a course I have to take for the “Carrera de Idiomas”. In this essay, I will
discuss why I am studying this program, my expectations, how this subject would contribute for my
professional development and lastly how I would attain the learning objectives successfully.
My reason for studying at "Carrera de Idiomas" is to become an English teacher, so I can
teach children the language. Another reason is to open up many doors, so I can have many
opportunities for work. Finally, my main reason is to take advantage of my English that I learned in
the United States.
My expectations for taking this course are to become more familiar with formal language.
This way I will be able to community better in any type of scenario. In addition, I hope to acquire
new strategies to comprehend academic text better.
The learning objectives for this subject would vary since it involves all the skills; reading,
writing, speaking and listening. In order to attain the learning outcomes successfully I will have to
read more often to acquire better vocabulary to allow me to strengthen all my skills overall.
To sum up, I would like to mention that I’m looking forward to “Writing II” because it will
allow me to keep sharpening my English skills further. I would also want to mention that hopefully
this subject allows me to both grow professionally and as a human being.
