“I worked for big contract caterers for many years, and slowly but surely it becomes more about profit than quality of food. As a chef whose main purpose is to strive to cook and do the very best we can with fresh ingredients - this I felt started to become lower down the list of priorities.
I felt with the clients backing and support we could offer better value, choice and a more cost-effective service to all, this is where CMC comes in. From the first, friendly, productive and reassuring phone call I was convinced this was the right choice to help us on our journey. A few meetings later the back of house side of things was up and running with new suppliers and all paper work, along with all due diligence which was very re assuring, with the new suppliers came so much more choice that we could purchase and what’s more the cost of buying had gone down and we were not forced to buy certain products from certain companies with sky-high prices, which meant we had a fabulous opportunity to create menus of our choice, with our GP going up.
The audits that are taken are helpful and guide us in the right direction. All legislation is up to date AND precise, and all paper work is easy to follow and simplified which means we can spend more time on our menus and cooking. The support is so welcoming and with CMC I feel I have gained several op’s mangers who are here to help not help us fail. Staff at CMC are helpful, kind and always at the end of a phone.
We have been with CMC for two years and are going from strength to strength and I would strongly recommend going in-house, with CMC this was easily the best decision for us.”
