AW 18/19
This is MINIATURES first collection under the new creative direction of
Luisa Elvira Traina. Coming from an international trend forecasting background
Luisa wanted to combine the old with the new.
“I was inspired by two photos of MINIATURES first ever collection from
2002 modelled by our founder Signe Tholstrup’s daughters Frederikke and
Rigmor. Combined with the current trend for athleisure and playful emoji prints
such as , , & . For AW18/19 we also focused on the must-have fabrics
corduroy and velvet and the seasons fascination with vintage inspired collars
and embroidery details both for boys and girls.”
We shot the lookbook with photographer Polina Vinogradova and stylist
Thora Valdimarsdottir in the same house where the first lookbook photos were
taken. A house filled with nostalgic furniture and pastel coloured bathrooms.
This collection also includes a few styles for grown-ups so mother and daughter
can dress alike. As social trends are showing we all keep on getting younger and
younger - and nobody dresses their age anymore.
