This is is a a a a a a classic situation where they they end up doing much more than they’re paid to do do But somehow in in a a a a a a desire to to prove themselves these people still feel that they they are are not doing enough in in relation to to how much they they are are being paid This can set a a a a a a a a a a precedent which could be be hard to to remove I recall many years ago driving to to a a a a a a a a a a client site and deep inside I I was was was unhappy unhappy and and annoyed This was was was because I I was was was hugely undercharging and and unhappy unhappy with myself for continually doing so Don’t compromise on on on on price price increase value A good friend of mine told me “price is is only a a a a a factor in the absence of of value” Never let price be a a a a a statement of of your value value 5 Set your boundaries
You You know your boundaries
You You are clear about what is acceptable behavior how you you like to be be treated and spoken to to to and you you have the courage to to to speak out when necessary You don’t need external validation to to to prove your value — instead you you have an an internal compass of what is right right and wrong Take time right right now to write out your core values and carry them with you at all times When some steps over the the the the line line don’t cave hold the the the the line line Over time time others will know you as someone of value value and we are not just talking dollar per hour value value 6 Engage in in in work that is exciting and fulfilling
