Ltd had been one of the guests at Norman Wilkes’ party some thirty years before, the party at which I had met “The Chef” who knew “The Squinting Cat” pub in Harrogate. Ken was now quite elderly but still a very spry and intelligent builder and when my friend Andy Voss suggested that I should get in touch with Ken and see if I could negotiate a construction contract with him for the last small cluster, I did so with- out the slightest hesitation. This proved to be an excellent decision. With Tomlin Voss providing all the architectural support on this occasion, and with another good friend, John Hadchity, arranging the marketing and sales administration , the cluster was a great success from every angle: it was completed on time and to a good quality, at budgeted cost; the buyers were happy, and the chosen cluster name turned out to be absolutely appropriate, “Harmony Hall”.

That Ken Tucker had completed the Rockley development, all as originally planned- and had known “the Chef “who had encouraged us from the start, well , that seemed to me to complete the circle of that twenty years of my life, quite well .
