P. 56

T erri, I was quite surprised to hear that you were turning 60 ...

you certainly seem to me much younger than that.

However, Bruce claims it is true so I suppose I’ll have to
accept it. Unfortunately the only pictures I have of are myself from
baby to the time I no longer would pose for a pictures in an album
somewhere. However I do have a little story which could be close to
being accurate as my memory is not as keen as it once was.

Terri, this memory sticks out as it was a little out of character for
you. I recall a birthday party for Dave Prowse on Elma ...this means
                                         we were all pretty young.

As usual it was the social event of the year with everybody who
was anybody in attendance. We were all having a good time and
I remember Mary and you were having a particularly good time
enjoying a libation originating from the northwest Italian region of
Piedmont. I believe it is called Frangelico.

As the extravaganza continued you would come by every once in a
while with a big smile tapping your fi ngers together. After listening
to a number of speeches glorifying the birthday king ...you were
claiming you could no longer feel your fi ngers. I fi gured you were
kidding and didn’t rush to get medical attention.

I didn’t see you, or Mary for that matter, after the lost fi ngers and
                                                                                 assumed you both had gone
for a rest after much dancing.

So that was the memory of
                                                                                 the missing fi ngers.

                                                                                 Happy Birthday Terri and
remember 60 is the new 40.
                                                                                 You have too many good
qualities to list, but the ones
                                                                                 most important to me are
                                                                                 your understanding and
                                                                                 kindness.

All the best many more happy
                                                                                 birthdays for you.

                                                                                 Love, Ed
