“On a fundamental level, physicians enter the noble
profession of medicine to help people. Over the past 30
years the administrative burdens have increased resulting in less time for
patient care.
With the concierge model, I am once again able to spend as much time as
needed with patients. Imagine being able to make house calls, address mental
health issues with extended visits, and spend as much time as needed on
preventive care, not illness.
The quality of my work day has improved significantly- no one is rushed. As a
direct result, I have much more time to spend with my family. My three girls
have me home for dinner every night.
On a personal level, I have recaptured the ‘joy’ in medicine. As Hippocrates
wrote, ‘Wherever the art of medicine is loved, there is also love of humanity.’
I can now practice the art of medicine.”
