School District 201
Community Unit School District 201 recognizes Illinois State Scholars
On Jan. 23, ten Westmont High
School seniors were presented with
award certificates for receiving the
distinction of being Illinois State
Scholars. This took place prior to
the regularly scheduled CUSD 201
board meeting.
Illinois State Scholar winners
rank in the top ten percent of high
school seniors. Selection is based
on SAT, ACT and/or Prairie State
Achievement Exam scores, and/or
class rank at the end of the junior
year. A complete listing of these

Macey Chapman Benjamin Ledwon These fourteen students represent
Christopher Doll Roben Magnaye 10.1% of the current senior class,
Justin Gomez Luke Mikolite which is higher than the state
Daniel Hletko Kaitlyn Niemer average of 10%. We are extremely
Wesley Jagielo Jasper Requiron proud of these students for their

CUSD 201 administrators give back
On Jan. 4, the CUSD 201
administrative team and their
families volunteered at Feed My
Starving Children in Aurora. Feed
My Starving Children is a non-
profit organization committed to
providing meals to malnourished
children in nearly 70 countries.
The organization relies heavily
on volunteers to pack meals and
prep boxes for shipping. This was
the third year the CUSD 201
administrators and their families
volunteered.
Manna Packs such as those prepared
by CUSD 201 administrators help this
Haitian family survive .
