Dear Fellow Citizens of Westmont,

Greetings Village of Westmont! Spring is just around the corner
and we are gearing up for a busy season. Following are some of our
current programs and activities.
Diane Main and Sandra Smith
On behalf of the Westmont Village Board, I would like to express
my deepest sympathies to the families of Diane Main and Sandra
Smith, both of whom passed away in December. Diane and Sandra
served as Westmont Park District Commissioners for 38 years and 36 years, respectively. Both
women played an important role in the growth of the park district from just over 30 acres of
park space when they started to more than 130 acres today. The park district recently dedicated
parks in their honor so that future citizens will be aware of their dedication and impact in
our community.

Volunteer resolution
Westmont offers many opportunities for residents to get involved and influence positive change
in our community through volunteering. Whatever your interests, we have an activity, program,
or event for you. To help you get involved, we have created a list of some of Westmont’s
local organizations and their volunteer opportunities. You can find the list on our website at
westmont .illinois .gov.
Business publicity grant
The Village of Westmont is pleased to announce the creation of the Westmont First Business
Publicity Grant Program. Initiated by the Wesmont First Committee, the intent of the program is
to help businesses get the word out about new special events and offerings by providing financial
support for advertising. You can find more details regarding this new program on the village
website at westmont .illinois .gov.
