SECTION 2: QUALITY ASSURANCE – AREAS OF EVALUATION
2.0 INTRODUCTION
The nine (9) areas of evaluation is based on international best practices that aims to raise the quality of talent in the construction industry.
2.1 NINE AREAS OF EVALUATION
2.1.1 Area 1: Governance
The Approved Training Provider (ATP) is a recognised and credible training provider, trusted by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) and the public. It has adequate mechanism to prevent conflicts of interest in the decision it makes, its staff has the needed skills to carry out the functions associated with training programme development and delivery. The ATP also has the needed resources to carry out its mission.
i. Vision, Mission and Goals
The ATP has a written vision and mission statement and a set of objectives that explicitly provide that quality assurance is its major concern, describe the purpose and scope of its activities and can be translated into verifiable policies and measurable objectives.
