2.1.9 Area 9: Evaluation and Continual Quality Improvement
The approved training provider (ATP) has to determine and select opportunities for improvement and implement any necessary actions to meet its vision, mission and objectives, as well as the requirements of the construction industry. The ATP shall continually improve on the suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of its quality management system.
i. Audit and Compliance Activities
The ATP has to conduct internal audits at planned intervals to provide information on whether the quality activities conform to its requirement and is effectively implemented and maintained. The ATP shall plan, establish, implement and maintain an audit programme including frequency, methods, responsibilities, planning requirement and reporting, which shall take into consideration the importance of the processes concerned, changes affecting the institution and the results of previous audit.
ii. Control of Non-Conformities
When a nonconformity occurs, including any arising from complaints, the ATP shall react to the nonconformity and as applicable, take action to control and correct it and deal with the consequences. The ATP has to evaluate the need for action to eliminate the cause of nonconformity in
