Code of Practice for Training Programme Accreditation
4.1.1 Approval
The approval is applicable for a one-off training programme. The approval process takes between five (5) to fifteen (15) working days upon submission of a complete and accurate application, except for conferences, seminars or workshops in which case it takes between four (4) to eight (8) weeks. The approval granted permits the training programme to be conducted once only. Any recurring training programme is subject to provisional and/or full accreditation.
4.1.2 Provisional Accreditation
The provisional accreditation is an exercise to determine whether a training programme has met the minimum accreditation criteria and standard prior to full accreditation. Provisional accreditation usually applies to a new training programme to ensure that its design and development are in accordance with the CIQF and requirements of the CIDB. This process takes between four (4) to eight (8) weeks upon submission of a complete and accurate application. Provisional accreditation of training programmes is valid for one year, during which the approved training provider (ATP) is required to apply for full accreditation for this training programme at least three (3) months before the expiry of the provisional validity period.
